New phone! Woo-hoo!!!

I have been trying to get a new phone for months now. I have been so sick of my broken camera, cracked screen, and just having a generally slow, glitchy phone.

I got the Oppo A57 because it has a good camera and decent battery life, and I saw some reviews that said it was pretty good for the price. Still, I have a hard time spending more than $200 for a phone. (This one came to $210.)

Two things I like so far:

1: IT CAME WITH A CASE!!!!! It's been years since I've used a phone with a case. I've really only used a phone case on my phone for 1 of the over 10 years I've had a phone... Ooops! Maybe the screen won't break on this one like on my last two!

2: The phone actually takes good pictures! I've been a firm believer most of my life that cameras are for pictures, and phones are for calling/texting. But life with a toddler is full of unexpected photo opportunities, and it's been getting old having to take pictures with my like 5 mp camera phone. Not to mention the horrible quality if we're inside, and how they're usually blurry. It's also convenient being able to share pictures from the source, rather than having to put the memory card into my laptop first.

(I was pretty excited to get a reasonably good picture in the office, where the lighting is always so terrible they never turn out. I was also pretty darn excited about that eye shadow that came yesterday. Hello Glitter!!!!)

Of course I have shared a few more, better pics on social media, so t just pop over to Instagram or Facebook to check them out. :)

Anyways, like any new piece of technology, it'll take some getting used to. But for now, I'm excited to be able to share pictures again!!
